WHITE HOUSE 2009 CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT

This is the 2009 Christmas ornament released from The White House.

Every year, my sister, Patty gets the official White House Christmas Ornament.

The White House Historical Association has been putting these ornaments out since 1981.

When the box comes in the mail it's always exciting to see what this year's ornament will look like.

Sometimes they are so detailed and colorful. Other years more simple and in the past they were just plain gold. As the years go on they get nicer and nicer.

This is the very first one they released in 1981. Much different then the one for this year, don't you think?

My next post will show all the different ornaments from the White House from 1981 through this year.

Did you even know you could purchase these? If you are interested in ordering one for yourself or someone special you can always contact them at http://www.whitehousehistory.org/ and start your own collection.

Be sure to come back so you can see these lovely ornaments that the "House of the People", better known as, the White House put out every year.

I didn't know you could get an ornament! I've sent a Christmas card to the President before and got one in return signed by the President and First Lady.
I also sent a Christening invite and received a congratulations note from the President.

Do you have a special tree just for those ?

I sure there like the plates each President chooses.

This year is a pretty one.
