DISNEYLAND'S PRIVATE CLUB 33

Did you know that Disneyland has a Private Members Only Club? That's right. A hidden resturant inside of Disneyland that only a few lucky people will ever get to step foot inside.

It's tucked away over by where the Pirates Of The Caribbean let's you off the ride. The only thing that acknowledges that you are in the right spot is a blue door with a sign that says 33. It's very low key and most people don't even notice it is there. Those that do just think it's a door that employees use to go behind the scene.

Membership to this Private Club is limited and very expensive to join. It costs thousands per year to be a member.

The lucky few that do have membership, can invite people they know to join them. They can even let you enjoy Club 33 without being there with you.

But, you must either have the membership or know someone who does,
or you will never get in.

I've been lucky enough to go to Club 33 a few times. No, I don't have a membership but I did know a few people who did. So I wanted to share it with you today.

This is the enterance to Club 33. The doors are kept locked at all times and you must be buzzed in from the inside.

Club 33 was built so that Walt Disney would have a Private place to entertain his VIPs. However, he sadly passed away 5 months before the Club was ever opened. It was then decided to open it up to only a selected few people.

The name Club 33 represents the 33 original companies that provided the capital for Disneyland to be built.

So are you ready to go inside and take a look around? Come on then...

This is where we have to ring the front desk to let them know we are here. We will give them the name our reservation is under and how many people are in our group.

After verifying our reservations we will then be buzzed in.

I need to tell you that when I did go to Club 33, I was not blogging yet and didn't take any photos. So all these photos I found on the Internet. I don't want to take credit away from anyone or try to fool you into thinking I took these photos on my visit there.

This is what you first see when you walk in. A desk where the person who buzzed you in sits.

If it's your first visit she or he, will answer any questions you have and give you a little bit of information about what you are about to experience.
You will then go up this old fashion elevator. It only holds a few people at a time. It's very charming though.

For those who don't like taking the elevator you can walk up the stairs right next to it if you like.

This is the only place in Disneyland that sells any type of alchol. Yes, it's the only bar in the whole Park.

The tables are set with a crisp white linen table cloth and napkins and there is special china that says Club 33 on it.

You will place your order from a menu full of mouth watering entrees.

Then, you you will make your way up to the salad bar. Though this is not just any type of salad bar.

You can help yourself to all the shrimp, crab and lobster that your heart desires.

There are cheeses, cold cuts and fresh fruit. There is grilled vegetables and the list goes on and on.

But, don't eat to much here. You still have warm bread waiting for you at the table and your main meal will be at your table shortly.

Oh yes, don't forget to save room for desserts too. They are super good! Plus you can have all you want!

The main entrees are more fancy type meals then what you will find anywhere else in Disneyland.

One other thing you must not miss is the bathroom! Isn't this cute how they try to hide the toilet? Also, this is the only place at Disneyland where you will find 2 ply toilet paper. The rest of the park just has 1 ply.

You will also dry your hand on lovely plush paper towels that are embossed with a gold Club 33 on them.

After you have enjoyed your visit, relaxed and are full from your meal at Club 33, before you rush out, stop and check out the small gift shop.

There you will find items sold only at Club 33.
You can purchase shirts, hats and pins. However, you can also purchase watches, golf clubs and many other expensive items.

Your meal will run you about $65 to $110 for lunch and $85 ~ $145 for dinner and that is without any drinks from the bar.

Yes, it can be costly but it will also include your entrance into Disneyland for the day. Though I have to admit most of the people who are members also have year passes.

So, that's it. Hope you enjoyed your visit and if you have not already done so, I hope you get to go at least once in your life. It is a lovely place and it's fun knowing you have joined in a small group of people who have walked through the door and was treated just like the VIP that Walt Disney wanted to entertain there.

Oooo! Someday I swear I will have a membership lol. I don't care how long I have to wait on the list lol. I heard it is anywhere from 3-10 years! For my 15th birthday we went. It was amazing! Oh how I love Disneyland lol

All the best,
Allison

I am so jealous! JEALOUS! It has been a dream of mine FOREVER to go inside. The closest I have been is the kitchen. The only way to get up to the gallery if you have a stroller is through an elevator that lets you out in the kitchen of Club 33!

I love club 33. My hubbs company would take employees who were celebrating 25 years or more to club 33 since they had a membership. We went and it was FANTASTIC!!!
Disneyland is my favorite place to be and I happen to know some of those little known facts. lol! It's fun to try and find the Mickey's too.
I was also born and raised here and I always say I'm going to move, but then I think "Can I really survive without my visits to Disneyland? NO!!!" Guess I'm staying put.
We'll be going in a couple of weeks for our anniversary. Love the annual pass :0)

I remember when this was featured on the Travel Channel a few years back. The hidden secret of DisneyLand. I am sure there are probably more that they don't talk about either......

Hope your day was good.

Hi again!
Thanks for coming by and posting! On the enchie's (as my family calls them) The "real" way would be to lightly fry and dip your corn tortillas in home made sauce. That is sooo time consuming and MESSY! My SIL actually does it all from scratch...yikes!
I love cheese and onion enchiladas, but I'm the only one that likes them that way, so it's a rarity for them to be made that way. The family likes the chicken.
I also wanted to tell you how much I've been enjoying your "better me" posts. I've been on other blogs that are following and I'm beginning to feel very inspired :0)
I hope you have a fantastic day! Don't be a stranger :0)

My husband and I got to eat there once as special thank you to management staff. Don is employed at Disneyland. It was really fun and we knew we'd never get another chance to go there.

What a fun post! My husband was the manager at Club 33 for many years. He did an interview with Entertainment Tonight and he laughed about the restrooms - so cute! Happy St. Patrick's Day! Erin
