I'M SOLD!

Well, I've decided to go with a nest theme for the baby shower I'm planning.

My friend is having a baby boy so the colors will be brown, robin egg blue and creams.

There are so many fun baby shower ideas out there and I wanted to thank everyone who gave me ideas.
But once I saw these cupcakes I KNEW I had to do the nest theme. These are just to darn cute! Plus they will be very easy to make.

I'm going to have a little nest at every place setting. I'll put cream and blue flowers on my nests though.

I'll fill the nests with these perfect colored Jordan Almonds. I've already found the place I'm going to order them from. It's a company called Oh Nuts.

For the party favors I thought these cute little soap eggs (in blue of course) that are presented in a nest would be perfect.

Even the little box is darling. It's got blue prints of birds and nests, It's wrapped with a brown ribbon and a darling tag that says "For you".

You can order these from Favor Affair.

I also thought it would be fun to make these pretzels. Only serve them in a nest...of course!

Well, I have many more ideas but I can't tell to much right now. The mommy does stop by and read my blog now and then and I don't want to give it all away so soon.

If you have any ideas for decorating, food or games please email me at jk51958@yahoo.com and let me know.

It's so nice to know the theme so I can start all my planning. Don't laugh but this shower is not for about 5 months. I always start my party planning out months ahead of time.

Oh I just adore all your ideas. But, I have a thing for bird's and nests. Did you happen to see my post today on decorating everyday stemware. I can totally see some wine glasses decorated with this theme. I can't wait to see your pics...

Now those are cute cupcakes. Great idea with the bridnests. I'd have to plan long ahead as well.

I'll get back to you on the food.

Well it's getting closer to me coming down there. Just a few more days and I'll be on my way.

Ciao

This is going to be wonderful! I suppose you'll do a large nest as a centerpiece.
Maybe you, or someone who sews, could make a small bird stuffed animal out of terry cloth for the baby.

What a great theme, it's perfect.

The colors are perfect. I really like the soap favors and the pretzels. Both favors, are something I would like to receive at a baby shower.

Have fun planning!

Sounds like it's going to be a fantastic shower, Joanne!! The one I was just at was a Winnie the Pooh theme, so I'm afraid I can't pass along any tips or hints that would help with yours... Donna @ An Enchanted Cottage
