SHOPPING FOR FREE

Look what I found today! Beautiful china cups, saucers and dessert plates.

The best thing about these are they were free! Yes you heard me right. Free. How, you ask? Well, I decided to save money and go shopping out in my garage.

I have bought so much stuff over the years and never even brought everything inside after I bought it. OK, I know, I'm a shopaholic.

I decided rather then go buy more things I would start going through what I have in my garage that I've forgotten all about. So I will take the boxes out one by one and go through them.

I know it's not really free because at one point I did pay for it. But it sure seems free when stumble across things you didn't even remember you had.

I've washed these up and put them in my china hutch so I can remember to use them.

I have 6 dessert plates, four saucers and 5 cups. So I figure it's really a set of 4 with a few extras in case something should break.

I just love them and can't believe I never brought these in before. I can't wait to do more shopping later. I'll be sure to share with you what I find.

Hi Joanne!

How fabulous! I LOVE it when you find something like that! The cups and plates are just gorgeous too. I'll stop at the French Bakery and bring a treat or three, you put the teakettle on for a pot of tea! Some day I'm gonna surprise you and really show up LOL!

Have the happiest of New Years!!
Big hugs, sherry

That is a fantastic idea, Joanne! The china is just beautiful and how wonderful to find something you've forgotten about!! I need to go check my boxes to see what treasures may be waiting for me - surely none as beautiful as yours!

Happy New Year!!

That's my kind of shopping! All are lovely! How do I copy the diet group button to add to my blog (and make it link to yours?) since I've joined, also do I need to email you any info or anything?

You are not going to believe this, but I did the same thing today. I went through boxes in the outbuildings and each was a wonderful surprise. Some stuff packed away four years. It was great!

Your set is lovely.

Oh, they are lovely! So pretty and feminine.

I do know what you mean about feeling like they're "free". That's exactly how I felt when dh brought down the brand new white tree I'd bought after Christmas last year. I'd forgotten all about it. When he handed it to me, it felt like I was receiving a gift...from myself. LOL

Happy New Year and New Finds!

Those are beautiful! It's kind of like a big birthday party and you get to open lots of presents when you go through your garage, right? Right! LOL! ;)

You sound like me. I get things and forget I have them. Then when I discover them, it's like a present.

And then I go out and get more and wonder where am I going to put it.

Those are so beautiful! I wish I had a garage to "shop" in!!! It's probably good that I don't or I would buy even more than I already do. Not having enough storage space has made me think twice about buying things!
