MEETING BAKERELLA

Today I got to meet fellow blogger Bakerella. She was at William Sonoma doing a book signing on her darling book called Cake Pops.

For those of you who have not yet heard about Cake Pops or Bakerella you can find her here.

There were a lot of people waiting to see her. The crowds got bigger and bigger as the time drew near to her time to come talk to us.

Then she finally came out and the crowd was thrilled. She is after all one of us blogger gals but, she has made it big.

She has been on Martha Stewart, has her own book out and is now traveling the country doing her book signing.

She is so nice. She seemed to be surprised at her new found fame. She said she was worried that no one would show up for her book signing. We thought that was funny because everyone there was excited she came to spend time with us.

She did a question and answer with us. Many people there have already made her Cake Pops and were looking for advice on how to make them as cute as she makes them.

She showed us the supplies she uses and gave little tips on how to make them come out picture perfect, like hers.

After she answered every one's questions we lined up and had her sign our books. She didn't rush anyone and treated everyone as if she was just talking to her friends.

Of course, I got her book. I can't wait to try them out. I'm going to try to make the Halloween ones. I'll be sure to post about how they came out.

How exciting! I wish I could have gone but I had to pick up the kiddies from school! I wish she would have had a signing in the evening. Can't wait to see your pops!

I have to get this book, Joanne. I love seeing Bakerella's cake pops! I've never made them myself but someday I hope to make them for my grandkids.

You asked what type of camera i have. I have a DSLR Nikon D60. The more advanced camera in the Nikon line is the D90 as it also takes video clips and has more zoom. It took some time to get used to it and I really need to learn more about it. You should really shop around and see what you are comfortable with. There are so many good "point and shoot" cameras available that that take wonderful photos!

I got her book and it is awesome!! I want to try making some cake pops. They are so cute! And what fun that you got to meet Bakerella. I wish she were coming to my town, but I don't think so. I would love to have my book signed. I have always loved her blog. Love & blessings from NC!

I'm so glad you went to see Bakerella and posted about it because I really wanted to go, but it didn't work out, so I still get to experience it through you!

I bought Bakerella's book about a month ago and tried making the pops. I'm pretty good when it comes to baking and such, but man, the pops aren't as easy to create as she makes them look. They're yummy though, very, very yummy. I'm definitely going to have to give it a go again, maybe the next batch will look better. I think the secret is in thoroughly chilling the cake balls before dipping them in the coating (I was impatient) and getting the coating the right consistency (mine was gloppy, not smooth enough). I'll be looking forward to seeing your cake pops!

I bought the little Betty Crocker book with her pic on front that she showed on her blog. And I made Brownie pops and posted about them.
That must have been fun to meet her!
