RISE AND SHINE TABLESCAPE

Rise and shine it's breakfast time!

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It gives us energy to face the day and jump starts our morning.

I never used like to eat breakfast but now I do. Eating breakfast out is my favorite meal to eat out.

If you are like me, you don't normally set a nice tablescape for breakfast. But, if you do it the night before, it's there waiting for you and it's sure to put a smile on your face.

So that is why I picked a breakfast tablescape today.

I got the tablecloth, napkins, larger red plate and smaller plate with rooster on it all at one time. However, I have not used them until now. Well, except the larger red plate. It's used a lot and is one of my top picks for my tablescapes.

I love the pattern on the solid red plate and that little rooster just makes me happy when I look at him.

I added a milk glass that says Milk in several languages around it and a darling little rooster juice glass.

Both perfect for breakfast.

I bought these cute little rooster napkin rings over a year ago. I love the roosters but it's the little rooster foot prints that I couldn't resist.

I folded the napkin in a fan shape today.

This big girl is the centerpiece. Normally, she sits on top of our refrigerator but she got to hop down to take center stage today.

The flatware I used is our everyday flatware. We just changed it out a few weeks ago and I really like it.

The butter dish is from my milk glass collection. I love it and try to use it whenever I can.

I think for breakfast I'm going to have some fresh fruit, eggs and homemade blueberry muffins.

I'll serve the muffins in the red braided bowl. It's a great size for breads or muffins.

The two little rooster salt and pepper shakers sit at the base of the milk glass vase filled with fresh white hydrangeas from my garden.

For those who want to know where I got everything here is the list:

Tablecloth & napkins - K-Mart
big red plate and smaller rooster plate - K-Mart
milk glasses - Crate and Barrel
juice glasses - Williams Sonoma
napkin rings - EBay
flatware - Villeroy and Boch
red bread bowl - Ross
Big chicken - I don't remember
salt and pepper shakers - TJ Maxx
milk glass butter dish - thrift store
milk glass vase - thrift store

I'm joining in on the fun over at Between Naps on the Porch for Tablescape Thursdays. Hop on over there to enjoy a lot more wonderful tablescapes.

Joanne, I love this! It photographs so well the red and your roosters are fantastic! Your hydrangea arrangement is beautiful. It's a happy breakfast table and your milk glass goes perfect with it.

I love this color combo! Really fun and refreshing! Kmart is an hour away from me...if you can believe it....but I might make a special trip! :) Beautiful table and great job!

Wow...I love all of it but then you KNOW how I am about red.
I had to laugh at myself because I just went back and read your comment again and you plainly stated you wanted your swing custom done. You may have to take the swing (or have it picked up) to an auto body place to be painted..they would do a lovely job. That might be one choice possiblility. I have not found a Patio furnature place that does it or even an Awing place. I have been to both...and it would cost you a fortune. If money is not a factor I would think you could get an upholstery place might.
I didn't get the custom part and lol...gave you all sorts of stuff.
Disregard all of that. :)
Funny.
Anyway...this table setting is just adorable. SO cute, Dawn!!
Roosters? In K-Mart?? Really!! I must check! :)
Love and hugs,
Mona

What a welcoming table, and how smart to set it for breakfast the night before! I always love red and white (my tablescape this week features those colors, too!), and you have added such perfect elements to carry out the rooster theme, too!

Hi Joanne!

I just found you on blogrankings. I'm so happy I did. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your table setting. What a lovely idea to do it the night before. I've never really thought to do that, but you are so right...what a lovely greeting first thing in the morning. I make my hub breakfast everyday, so I know he would enjoy it. Anyway, just wanted to say hi, "introduce" myself, compliment your lovely blog, and let you know I'm a happy new follower. Blessings to you, friend.

Love, Laura

Thanks for visiting my tablescape. It was my first ever and a little intimidating with all of the beautiful tables. Your red colors were beautiful as were the flowers. Love the roosters. I also visited your cake blog - Wow you could replace some on TV - your fondant was so smooth. My fav was the Prada shoe box!

I bought those same red dinner plates at Kmart and you can't beat the price. I got four and two weeks later they were reduced and cost only five dollars for four so naturally I bought four more. I didn't get the salad plates because I have already overdone it with rosters. So...I have a question. Do you think I could use the red plates with some red transferware? Your opionion would be appreciated at your convenience.
