MY COLLECTIONS ARE GROWING

I got some great jars for my birthday. So I put some shells in one, Starfish and Sand Dollars in one and white vintage buttons in the other one.

I think I have a new obsession with these kinds of jars. I have several more but I'm not sure what to put in them.

I did put the start of my vintage blue button collection in this little one though. I have to find some more blue buttons to fill it up though. Anyone have any they no longer want? If so, let me know!

Today I got these three vintage hand painted blue plates in the mail. I won all of them from EBay. They are perfect for my bedroom that I'm redecorating in blue. I'm going to hang them up on the wall.
Aren't these flowers darling. So dainty.
This plate has a beautiful ruffled edge as well as lovely hand painted flowers.

Then this one has little clusters of blue flowers around it. So romantic looking.

I love all of them.

Don't you just love adding to your collections? Leave me a note and let me know what you collect.

Don't forget, you still have time to join my give away. I'm not picking a name until the 31st so if you have not signed up go here http://cottageinthemaking.blogspot.com/2008/05/give-away-with-catch.html and sign up before it's to late.

Hugs,
Joanne

Hi Joanne!
I love what you did with the jars, I have a thing for glass hurricane candle holders. Hmmm I'll have to do a post of them. They are all bargains I've found at stores.
The plates are beautiful! I can hardly wait to see them in their new home.
Hugs, Sherry

Hi Joanne!

It's good to be back home from our trip in Ireland! We had a wonderful time and saw such beautiful places. I'll be blogging more about it all over the next few blog posts.

Belated HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I was also happy to read that gene took his first steps! I'm glad he's improving day by day.

I have a lot of little "knick knack" colllections... I love Belleek china, decorative plates, cat and Santa Claus figurines and also anyhting made of copper. My house is small so I really don't have room for much more. I did manage to pick up a couple of Belleek teacups in Ireland though! ;-)

Hugs, Pat

My goodness Joanne, you are growing your collections, you will have to dig your roosters and chickens out and make another collection area! Or, you could send um to me to babysit...YEAH thats what you should do! :)

Your seashells are just beautiful, and you know I am a jar nut too, so this post was really great to drool over.

Hey, how did the Sly cake trun out??? I have been wondering!

Love you!
Donna Lynn

P.S. Kiss Gene's head for me!

On a practical use note, the jars are great for cotton balls and q-tips in the bathroom... always handy.
I went to the neatest shop yesterday here in Branson. Took lots of pictures, so I will email them to you. I kept thinking, Joanne would LOVE this!

Hi Joanne,
I love apothecary jars too. I have one filled with flower petals and one with sand and starfish and so on. Those blue plates are gorgeous. I can't wait to see your bedroom pics. How is your brother doing? I'm sorry I haven't stopped by in awhile, this work thing is cramping my blogging style. Have a blessed day sweets.

Hugs,
LeAnn:)
