Well I have been wanting to do another quickie giveaway. That way, if you happen to visit me today or tomorrow you will be the only ones allowed to enter the giveaway. You never know when I'm going to do one of these quickie giveaways so you need to come visit daily in order to not miss out.
The other day I posted about my salt cellar collection and thanks to some of you smart people I found out this one is not a salt cellar at all. In fact it's from the 1800's to early 1900's and it was used as an eye cup. Back before we had eye drops people would have to put the medicine in these little cups and rinse their eyes out.
They made some very pretty. Then as time went on they turned into plastic ones and then they were gone all together.
Since I don't collect these but it seems like a lot of you do I thought I would do a giveaway for this one. Even if you don't collect them, but think it's an interesting piece of history please enter.
If you are interested in it please leave me a post here and tomorrow evening I will draw a name from those of you interested and someone will be the lucky winner.
It does not matter if you have already won a giveaway from me or if you live out of the country. Everyone can enter my giveaways. Everyone has the same chance of winning. I had never heard of an eye cup until reading this post. But I think it's very cute and I would love to have it. (Please ignore if this is duplicated. I'm trying this on hubby's computer and having trouble with my "identity'.)
