HALLOWEEN CAKES

One year for Trinity's Halloween party we had a pumpkin theme. So I made this cake.

It was fun, simple and she loved it.

I belong to an online group called Cake Central and there are some of the best cake decorators around. So I thought it would be fun to show you some of their cakes.

They surely blow my little simple pumpkin cake out of the water.

This cake looks like a real skull. So much so I think I may be a bit leery eating it.

My friend Trish made this darling little spider cake and it has always been one of the cakes I've loved. So cute.

Check out this one! It looks more like a high priced decoration then a cake.

Oh, who doesn't love Jack from the Nightmare Before Christmas. This one was formed by hand and I think it looks just like the one in the movie.

I think this cake is very cute. The Topsy Turvy style is perfect for Halloween.

This is a nice bright and cheerful one. Look at how smooth that icing is!

This Pirate Ship is amazing! I'm sure this took forever to make. Can you believe this is made out of cake!

Hey, looks like Frank has a bunch of baby mummies keeping him company.

Look at Barbie all dressed up like a witch. What is she cooking up? Looks like eye ball soup.

BOO! Did these ghost scare you?

This little witches hat reminds me of Mary Engelbreit. Very cute.

Oh I would be way to scared to go trick or treating at this house!

I think pumpkin is darling. Look at the lid, it's popping up and candy is falling out. Yum! Cake and candy together. What could be better.

Have you ever made a Halloween cake before?

Hope you enjoyed looking at these and maybe getting an idea of two about a cake you can make.

Hugs,
Joanne

Wow, all those cakes are amazing. Your little niece is lucky to have a talented Aunt who can make a really cool Halloween cake. Loved the Nightmare Before Christmas cake too. I have a big Nightmare collection, that cake-maker did a great job of getting Jack just right. How one does that with the stuff of which cake decorations are made, is unfathomable to me.

I am so blown away at other people's talent! I wish I could decorate a cake that well. I still haven't had a chance to try out the things you sent me to make fondant roses...I will get to it one of these days and when I do, you'll see it on my blog!!

These are all amazing...including yours! IT's really cute. I have never attempted a halloween cake but I love looking at pics of fancy ones like this. Thanks for visiting my blog....and yes, my story is 100% true, about the incident on the cruise ship. Scary, and sad, I know.

Wow, I have never seen such awesome cakes before. You have definitely turned this cake making into an artform over in the US.
No, we do not celebrate Halloween really so no reason to make a cake for it either.
