Even though this is a vintage cookbook I thought it was fun to use as it's blue.
I liked it because of it's worn and shabby look. Plus it adds that pop of blue in a space that is mostly white.
Do you remember seeing all these little treasures I either found at thrift stores, made or bought from Etsy?
This is the quilt I have on my bed. I have an iron head board right now. I have the foot board that goes with it but my room is to small to use it. I still have not finished the headboard I got at the thrift store. When I do I'm going to move the bed to the wall with the window. I also think I'm going to change out the side tables. I love them as my sister gave them to me for my birthday one year. They are very cute mosaic tables but they are green and I want white.
I love this little pillow I got off of Etsy. I'm sorry but I forget the name of the shop.
I still have so much to do. I have to hang up the pictures, plates and mirrors. Add the curtains and vintage hankies up and I have a chair I want to paint blue and add a pillow I have for it.
I can't decide if I should paint the walls blue or not. They are green now. Not the color in the photos as the wall color didn't come out right. There is green in the quilt from the leafs that is the same color of green in the walls.
I'm thinking I should go ahead and paint the walls. I think a pale blue would be very pretty and calming. I just hate the thought of painting.
What do you think? Should I break down and paint it? If yes, what color would you go with?
Well, as soon as I get the room finished I'll show the whole room. But, you know me...I don't do my projects fast like some of you. It could be awhile before I finish.
Hugs
Joanne

Joanne, my sweet little chick, I really love that! I'm decorating our new faux mantel today and am getting ideas from you. I've loved starfish lately and am going to Michaels to buy some and paint them pink and glittery!! You've done a terrific job, sweetpea.........
Smoochies,

I like your bedroom. The very pale blue would look terrific in the room on the wall.
I like your iron bed. My sister collects them. The older the better she says.

Your room looks lovely. I love blue.
Your room looks beautiful and I LOVE the quilt on the bed...gorgeous!! It sounds like the walls match right now but if you decide to paint I do think a really pale blue would be perfect!
Very, very pretty, Joanne!
I think that if you really want a blue room, you should go ahead and paint the walls.
However, I really love that green colour. Do you know the brand and colour?
Hi Joanne
The walls look great as they are but I think pale blue would look equally good. Your room is coming togther really well. I love your quilt and all your accessories, they look lovely together.

Oooh - I'm loving your bedroom!! I love your iron headboard! And I can't wait to see the new one you're working on!. I love the green walls. I'm also going to go with a pale aqua/blue with hints of pink when we redo our bedroom...I am getting so anxious to start ours mine as I've seen some terrific bedroom makeovers on the blogs lately! But like you, I don't move nearly as fast as most everyone else does!!... Donna
Wow, Joanne..what a peaceful retreat you are creating! I love the light robin's egg blue color in your pillow and some of your accessories..although, that green color is really pretty!

Love it....especially the candleholder and I adore your headboard.
As for the lamp you think you need to repaint...just use a tiny bit of white acrylic and "dry brush it'. You could even put a tiny 'hint' of blue in the white.
Just a thought...and QUICK.
Joanne,
Your room looks so pretty and restful, your own little oasis!I love blue and white...I think the walls would look great painted light blue. I have a light blue and white bathroom that I love...it's so calming! Have fun with your decorating! Blessings, Victoria Lynn
Hi Joanne,
Well I am certainly the wrong one to ask if you should paint.......I am always painting something. I say follow your gut....if you are even thinking the color needs to be changed then you probably won't be satisfied unless you paint it. I am very partial to light blue.....
Hugs,
LeAnn:)
