Since I am feel blue I thought I should make some wonderful blueberry scones.

You weren't thinking when I said I was "blue" I meant sad, did you? No, no, no! I meant I felt like setting the table with blue and eating something with blueberries.

I wish I had a wonderful recipe for you but I don't. I just used one of the mixes that I got from TJ Maxx and I doctored it up with fresh blueberries, used milk rather then the water it called for and sprinkled sugar on the top for a little extra crunch and sweetness.

To top them off I used some wonderful blueberry jam from Harry and Davids. I think just about everything from Harry and Davids is wonderful!

Well I guess my scones are (as Sandra Lee would say) semi-homemade. What is that she says "70% store bought and 30% fresh ingredients"? Something like that. It really works. Makes everything much better tasting and is oh so easy.

Yummy !

I've gotten those mixes and they tasted awful. Maybe it was because of the water instead of the milk. You being the baker you are, know the tricks.

I bought some Lemon poppyseed scones the other day at Trader Joe's and their yummy.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Your scones look so yummy Joanne!

The ocean wasn't bad yesterday but tomorrow when the storm hits it'll be very rough with big waves. We still have bright blue skies today -- it can all change so fast!

I'm looking forward to Wednesday too! It'll be fun!

Hugs, Pat

Blue is starting to get to me. I've bought a few blue things lately to try to incorporate into my scheme. Your blueberry muffins look very yummy and since I haven't eaten anything yet today, I would really enjoy one!! The whole set-up you did is very pretty, the plate, the flowers, all of it. Nice job Joanne!!
