A SHOP THAT COULD SAVE YOUR LIFE

Sometimes there are little shops in your area of town that you may not even know about.  I have one of those shops just a few blocks from me.  I'm so happy I found it though as I love to shop there.

This shop is called Provisions.  They moved in to this location about 5 months ago.

No it's not one of the cute little shops that has tons of cute little things in it.  It's not a shop that has clothes to try on or decorate your house with.

But, it does have things that every house should have and they do have things that would make great gifts for your friends and family.

Provisions is a shop that has just about everything you would need to have in order to be as prepared as you can be for any type of emergency.

They have first aid supplies, food, water, shelter, backpacks and safety items.

They have items for long term storage, like these big water containers.

It's also a great place to go if you enjoy camping, hiking, backpacking or being out in the wild.

It's where we meet up to learn about emergency prepardness.  I have already learned so much and I look forward to every meeting.

Our last meeting was about how to pack a bag you could put in your car, office or at home that you can grab and go should there be an emergency.  These items would be able to keep safe and alive for at least 72 hours.

I have one in my car right now.  Do you?

Our next meet up will be about making fire when you are in an emergency situation.

So, keep an eye out in your neighborhood.  You never when a little shop may move in that could help save your life.

For those who live in Orange Co. CA you can find Provisions at 3771 S. Bristol, Santa Ana, CA

What a great shop, I don't know that we have one around here. I like the idea of having classes. I know you must have learned a lot. Very informative post!

I have a closet that is used during tornado season with bottled water, cat stuff (food, treats, medicine) and old pill bottles with 3 days of medicine for me. I keep a change of clothes in my car mostly for when we go to Mom's and end up working in her yard. Oh, and a battery operated weather radio that can be cranked.

Instead of writing down all my personal information, the passwords to the sites are all in a secure app that I can get to from any iPhone or pc. That way, I can access it if I'm traveling.

But it pays to be prepared. I like the idea of a storm dedicated to survival. That is really a nice thing to have.

Now that Shop can really make you think what if... and no I am not prepared I think I will have to make some changes and do something about the lack of preparedness around our home. Happy Easter~
