PICK A PUMPKIN, ANY PUMPKIN...

This is the one my great niece, Trinity, picked out. She named it Mrs. Butts.

We went with the Girl Scouts this past weekend up to Camp Scherman. We had so much fun.

We went on a hike, did archery, had a hay ride. The girls went on a canoe and did crafts.

At the end, we went into a big pumpkin patch and everyone got to pick out a pumpkin to take home. There were white ones, big ones, orange ones, little ones, multi color ones.

Yet, my dear sweet little Trinity was the only one who picked out anything even remotely close to Mrs. Butts. Is it any wonder I love that girl?

A LITTLE THANKSGIVING DECOR TO ADORE

I know many of you think it's way to early to decorate for Christmas. Seems my sister, Patty, thinks the same way. She refuses to decorate for Christmas until Thanksgiving is over.

So in the living room we do have our Thanksgiving decor up.

Like these little Pilgrims and turkey.

I love these little squirrels gathering up the acorns that fell out of the jar.

I do have lots of Thanksgiving decorations. But, for some reason I can't seem to find the boxes they are stored in.

So for now, our decorations are light this year.

Of course, we have pumpkins though.

This little turkey hanging his legs over the fireplace makes me smile.

The thing I wish for all of you is that this Thanksgiving you are over flowing with many many Blessings!

TO CUTE TO BE SCARY

Well this year my Halloween theme is black and white but as I was unpacking my decorations I came across some of my favorite cats, witches and pumpkins.

I'm not sure if I will put these out this year but thought I would share them with you anyway.

I love black cat Halloween decorations. These two have that vintage feel to them. I really like them.

Hmm, maybe one year I should have a black cat theme.

This is one spider I would never be scared of. Isn't she cute all dressed up for the Holiday.

These pumpkins with their silly smiles just crack me up. They are from the Dept. 56 collection. I love their stuff.

Now I'm sorry to say but this witch isn't likely to scare anyone this Halloween.

This little witch looks scared to be riding a cat. Hey, I think I had same look on my face as I was riding the horse in Mexico! LOL

I really love all the cute vintage looking decorations for Halloween. It's my favorite look. I thought it would be fun to go with a different look this year. But, now I'm wanting to have these little cuties out along with the tons of other Halloween decorations I have.

What look do you like? Do you change your decorations every year or do you put the same things out year after year?

Hope these little ones put a smile on your face.

Hugs,
Joanne

DREAMING OF FALL

I know they say we shouldn't wish for days ahead because then we just wish our life away. But, I'm tired of the hot and humid days of summer.

I'm dreaming of the cool, crisp Fall days ahead. I thought you may like to join in my daydream by looking at these pretty fall pictures.

Enjoy!
