I NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE

Most of you are aware that I'm now a leader of a Girl Scout Troop. One of the things I want to do is to have my girls start writting to our Military men and women.

Perhaps even send a little care package now and then.

My problem is I don't know who to send them to. So that is where you come in. Do you know of any man or woman who is deployed who we could write to and sort of adopt? If you do, please let me know.

I hate thinking of any of our Heroes standing around durning mail call and not getting anything.

I also think it is a great way for my girls to learn more about what great Heroes these men and women really are. Plus it would be fun for them to have a new pen pal.

Thanks for your help.

I would recommend anysoldier.com I've used them before and its easy and rewarding... email my mom Heidi Ross if you have any questions.

I have been a member of anysoldier.com for a few years now and you can adopt a soldier from your state or army, navy , marine and locations of the troops too.

One of Dons cousins happens to be one of my dear friends. She is in the Air Force and was deployed twice. I will call her and ask her if there is anyone she knows that the troop can adopt. I will do it right now.

My blog & GS friend!! We are doing a SU project on Sat at a roller skating event (for 80 girls!!)..they are to bring in items for women fighting for our freedom...this is complete with American Girl Doll raffles & more...anyhow...I'll get you info on when we'll be shipping our stuff, it might be a ways away though. Edie's lead might be nice since you'll know more directly where it goes though. Let me know if think you'd want more info.

It's site I've had on my blog since last Christmas.
