It's FAIR time here in Orange County California! That's right folks. The Fair is in town. Every year I go. It's always fun to go walk around and see the shows, ride a few rides and people watch.
But really...doesn't everyone go to the Fair to eat? There is something about Fair food that is so yummy.
Maybe it's the grease? Lots of fried things can be found at the fair. It seems like every year they come up with a new fried item.
Know what it is this year?
Cupcakes, deep fried cupcakes! Now I'm not sure I would enjoy that. I mean I love deep fried food and I love cupcakes but deep fried cupcakes??? I don't think so.
This is what they look like. No icing on the cupcake. Just a plain cupcake deep fried and then a chocolate sauce is poured on top and colorful sprinkles.So what do you think? Would you give it a try?
The one thing I can not leave the fair without having is their Cinnamon Rolls with Cream Cheese icing. They are the best! Warm, fresh out of the oven. Oh my!
The other thing I always look forward to, besides all the fun, food and people, is the animals. You know I'm a big animal lover.
Every year they have momma pigs that have just given birth to her baby pigs. They are so cute.
I could watch them for hours. I just want to pick them up and cuddle with them. Of course, I can't though. I don't think momma would be to happy about that.
The only bad thing about the Fair that comes every year at this time is, it's so darn hot! So I prefer to go at night. The sun has gone down so it's cool out and the real entertainment starts up at night.
I also love the lights when they are all lit up and how they sparkle as the rides are going on and the music is playing loud.
To me, it's not Summer until the Fair comes to town.
