Does this street look familiar to you? It should. This street is often the street they film whenever they show Beverly Hills. I guess because it's lined with the famous Palm Trees CA is known for.
So, here we are on Rodeo Drive. It's a bit crowded today. Guess the economy isn't that bad in Beverly Hills.
When one thinks of Rodeo Drive, one conjures up images of wealth, movie stars, moguls and expensive shopping. Rodeo Drive is famous for designer labels and haute couture fashion.
An appointment and $1500 may buy you a private dressing room complete with Martini Bars. But, in some stores that price could run double or higher.
Here we are at Giorgio Armani. Did you need anything there? I could drop you off and come back to get you.
Well, well. Look at this store. There is no name and no address on the building. I guess if you have to ask where it is then you really can't afford to shop here, at Prada.
Hmmmm, I never knew you were nobody, until you made it to Rodeo Drive. We can't drive up here. So you can just take a peek. We would have to get out and walk here.
Yes, this is the street where you will find Ralph Lauren's Polo shop, Tiffany & Co. and Harry Winston, which is where many of the stars get their beautiful jewelry they wear when they go to the award shows.
Do you remember the movie Pretty Woman? Well this is where it was filmed. Yes that's right. Richard Gere and Julia Roberts lived in this Hotel for weeks. All the shops they went to were on Rodeo Drive.Rodeo Drive is 3 blocks long and some of the shops may close down so they can cater to their elite clients. Some shoppers want the whole store to themselves and will pay big bucks to get the shop owner to close down for them.
What is that? You say you can't afford to shop on Rodeo? Well then let me tell you a little secrete. If you look around you will find a shop right there on Rodeo Drive with nothing over $15.00. Yes you heard me right. You too can wear clothes and tell people you bought it on Rodeo Drive.
Well ladies, we have to leave now. I'm getting a bit dizzy being around all this money, fancy cars and expensive clothes. I need to get back to TJ Maxx where I belong.
Hugs,
Joanne

Great post...that is as close as I may get to Rodeo Drive! LOL
I love TJ Maxx too!
Have a great day,

Hi Joanne! What an interesting drive through a very wealthy area!
It is pretty...but I guess it should be at the prices they offer!! :))
What is the song and who is singing on your post? "I am your creation...? It's beautiful.
We have a bus business...it's a niche that supports us and that is how I got my cute bus. We simply took out some seats and added a bed. We sleep very well! If you look on my front page you will see a link to the bus business.
Loved this post! I've never been to Rodeo Drive. Worth Avenue in Palm Beach is the chic spot in my neck of the woods. Can't afford that either!!! TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Marshalls - can't beat em!
Thanks for the drive down Rodeo Drive!! That will probably be the closest I ever get to it. I can't even imagine having the money to buy anything there....unless it is at the $15.00 store...lol
Hi Joanne,
I'm so TIRED from all that shopping..now we need a manicure and pedicure and how about a new "Do"??? I'm with you, let's go to the Maxx's and find a couple of thrift stores. Hey, maybe the thrift stores have stuff the Rich people gave away :):) I forgot what you asked me on my comment section. The dogs are white one Mack, Black/white on Scout and baby Jackson Brown. Mack is 10 1/2 Scout is a rescue age ..OLD.. Jackson is 1.
Have a relaxing afternoon.
Warmly, Deb
I buy most of my clothes at Costco, how chic am I? I reserve TJMaxx for my home and children's presents...by then, there is nothing left over for me to buy myself something, lol ;)
Thanks for the trip down (up?) Rodeo Drive...might be the only way I get to see it, so it was lovely...I almost arrived ;)
Hi Joanne,
Wish I could go shopping today - ANYWHERE!!! But...painting calls.
Thanks for praying for Autumn, it means alot to us.
~Blessings,
Jan
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....zzzzzzzz... zzzzzzzzzzz....zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.... oooooohhhhh!!! Hi again!!! LOL!!
You said you thought you needed a nap? I NEED a nap...actually think I was taking a nap!! LOL!!!!
Whew........ Thanks for the tour of Rodeo Dr. Now I can tell everyone "That I Have Arrived!"
Have a great day.
Hi Joanne!
I'd want to sightsee on Rodeo Drive, but I wouldn't be buying any souvenirs there ..lol!
In NYC 5TH Ave is where all the posh stores are, but there are plenty "bargain" stores along the way there too, like H&M!
Hugs, Pat
Fun post, enjoyed the pics!

Ya know, I'm soooo happy being in my little 80,000 people town in Idaho that I could just shout for joy, my sweet cottage chickadee!! I can't even imagine the pressure put on those "hollywood types" to keep up with their neighbors and I wouldn't want the money at the expense of what most of them go through. I'm quite happy shopping at flea markets and yard sales and being humble and kind to others. I just love my family so much, sweet chicks, that I can't imagine any other lifestyle than the one I'm living. AND I wouldn't want to try and that's the absolute truth!!
Smoochies,
Connie
Another great tour....I took pictures when we were there-Melrose Place, etc.
You need your own travel show!
M ^..6
Joanne, You are a fabulous travel hostess. Thank you for the whole trip. I am an Okie girl and probably won't ever have the opportunity to go to Hollywood, but thanks to you I now can say that I have seen it thru a friends eyes!
XO Cindy
Me too Joanne! It is certainly a beautiful place to soak in the ambience! Thanks for the tour!! Glad I only had to look at the traffic, not try to drive in it! haha.
Hi Joanne
Thanks for taking us along to Rodeo Drive. That is as close as I'll ever get. It is amazing that people actually will fork out that much money for things!
Rhondi xo
The first thing I thought of about Rodeo Drive was Richard Gere and "Pretty Woman." He could give me his credit card any time!!
Thanks for a great post!
Hugs, Susan

Hi Joanne, I really enjoyed my trip down Rodeo Drive. You said it all, right on the marker!
I just love it when you give a tour! I feel funny though, sometimes taking pics when people are around. Have you ever had anyone get upset that you took a pic of their merchandise, or inside a building or anything? Any secrets I should know for future reference? LOL
I think it is so much fun reading your entries! Thanks for the tour!
PS- if you ever come to Palm Springs, let me know...I'll walk down the street for you! LOL
Great tour! As close as I will ever get to Rodeo Dr. and I like to think by choice (funds too:).
I enjoyed my time with you as always. Take care!
Kelley
