Silly me forgot my camera (again) so these photos are all borrowed from the Internet.
The three of us used to go to the Indian Casinos quite often before my brother had his stroke. This is only the 2nd time we have gone since he had it.
The first time I think was a little to early for him to go and we didn't stay long at all. He was not comfortable and wanted to go home.
This time, I'm happy to say, my brother is doing much better and we all had a wonderful time!
It was raining super hard as we drove there. You know the kind of rain that comes down so hard and fast that the windshield wipers can't go fast enough.
So once we got there, I was happy to pull up to the Valet parking and go inside.
The first thing we did was go sign up for the Casino's players card. By doing so, we got a free buffet lunch and $20.00 gambling money.
The buffet was really nice. It was big and had several different stations to pick from. They had carved meat, Chinese, Mexican, Sushi, Italian and a fish station. As well as, a salad bar, soup bar and a dessert bar to die for!
You each get to play on your own slot machine, winning and losing just like on any other slot. But every once in awhile (which was really pretty often) all the machines stop playing and the big area above you starts to spin. There are 10 spins each time this happens and everyone will win the amount of the 10 spins.
The other little thing is the more money you have been betting the more times the winning jackpot will multiply for you. So you will win either 1-6 times the total winning amount of the 10 spins.
We all had so much fun playing this game that we didn't play anything else. We played for several hours. I'm happy to report we all came home winners!
It was so nice to see my brother back to having fun again. Seeing him laugh and joke and enjoy himself just like before the stroke.
He still does not have full use of his right side. However, he is still working hard on his recovery every day and has come along so far since he had his stroke.
In fact, he showed us how he is able to go up and down the stairs in his house. That was something, he said, he thought he would never be able to do. Just goes to show what hard work, a determined mind and time will do for you. I'm so proud of him!
Yes, Saturday turned out to be a really really good day!
After eating, we hit the Casino. We ended up playing the EBAY SLOTS. Gene and I had never played this before but Maureen had.
If you have never played it and get a chance please do. I'm sure you will have as much fun as we did.

I love to play the slots. My hubby is not game at it as I am. Although he is always very lucky. I like the penny slots and usually win a little when we go. Glad you had such a great day and happy that your brother is doing so well.

I'm happy for you to get to spend a day with your siblings is awesome. We have an Indian casino near us in Tampa. It's the Hard Rock, it just recently had the slot machines open up, just like in Vegas. I'm dying to go there now. When it first opened we went there and in 15 minutes, I lost a 100 bucks, I had no idea what I was doing, so I haven't been back since then. :)
Hugs,
Chris
The best prize of the day I think for you all was that you had a terrific time with your sibs!
Oh, Joanne - it sounds like you had a wonderful time! And isn't that great that Gene is getting stronger all the time? My sister took me to a casino in CT about 5 years ago... I'm sorry to say that with the limited funds I brought to gamble with, I was done in less than an hour (and I don't remember eBay slots... maybe they have then now). But I do remember the buffet being just like you described it!... Donna
Sounds like you had a lot of fun, but mostly just being with your sister and brother was the most fun of all!
Just wanted to thank you for stopping by my blog and entering the giveaway...those ebay slots are interesting! How fun.
Hello Joanne; How wonderful that you all had a great day. Love the photos of the Casino. I have been to one only two times it was very exciting.

Hi Joanne
Glad to hear you had a good time with your brother. I have never been to a casino so it was interesting to inside one.
Thanks for sharing
