FALL IS IN THE AIR

Today was a wonderful, rainy day here in So. Cal. After the rain left, the air was crisp and clean smelling. Perfect Fall weather.

Fall is the perfect time for baking!

I've been sick all week. Today, I was so tired of sleeping, watching TV and reading. So, I mustered up enough energy to bake some homemade cookies.

The smell of the cookies baking made me feel better.

Eating a nice warm, freshly baked cookie would make anyone feel better. Don't you agree?

They say we are going to be back in the 90's by this weekend. So, Fall isn't going to be here for long before leaving us again.

But, it will be back and when it does, I'll be baking as much as I can. I love to bake.

I hope you will take a minute to sit down and enjoy a cookie and a glass of milk with me.

Funny how when you are recovering from being sick, doing so little makes you feel like you have been through a war. It's back to TV and laying down for me.

  2. Joanne, I love to bake too. Your cookies look yummy. Hope they make you feel better. Sorry you have been sick. Fall is in the air here too, although I am going to the beach tomorrow. It will be a girl's weekend with my sister and my girl cousins. I can't wait. Hope you have a nice weekend. Love & blessings from NC!

Hey, how did you get your blog to fill up my whole monitor screen? I want to do that!

  4. Hi Joanne. Thanks so much for your kind words regarding dad. I, too, am very behind on going around and visiting blogs. There just don't seem to be enough hours in the day anymore.

Your cookies look fantastic, but I shouldn't be surprised. Look at the cakes you turn out! You do have the magic touch in the kitchen! It's so much more enjoyable to bake in the fall and winter months :)

Hope all is well with you and that you are feeling MUCH MUCH better very soon.... Donna
