I was looking around on line and found some darling items. However, the prices are not darling!
I think these would be so easy to make and I think I'm going to give it a try this year.
I love these pumpkins! They are so pretty. They would look great no matter what your decor was this year. Spooky, vintage, elegant or even as quiet touches of Halloween.
You can purchase these for $195 at Horchow or you could go to the craft store and pick up some black embellishments for a few dollars and stick them on your own real or fake pumpkin.
I'm going to make these with the fake pumpkins so I can keep them for years to come.
This is $98 at Horchow which is way to much for me to buy.
Again, I believe for a few dollars you can make this yourself. Get some wooden plates from Home Depo and paint them black. Get some bones from the craft store (or even the dollar store) and spray paint them silver. Glue them to the plates and add a skull that you have painted silver and added glitter to the top and you are set.
I may even drill a hole in the wooded parts and put a dowel down the center to make it more sturdy.
No matter if you buy these or make your own I'm sure they will be the hit of your Halloween decorations.
great find! I am so going to have to do the black sequence! luv it!

Those are so cute! I like your ideas of making them cheaper. Those other prices are way too much! I might have to make those pumkins. I might make white ones with pinks stones.
ReplyDeleteYou know how I love pumpkins and those little guys are just darling! Love the black stones. Mumzie
ReplyDeleteThese are great! Thanks for the inspiration. Love & blessings from NC!
ReplyDeleteThose Pumpkins look stunning! Im going to have to file that idea away for October - thanks for sharing xx
ReplyDeleteI discovered your blog a few weeks ago and really enjoy it! I made my daughter one of these pumpkins last year and she LOVES it! We used black Prima swirl rhinestones from Hobby Lobby on a white pumpkin. So pretty.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely you can make them! Horchow's prices are out of this world! (you should know about that, ghostbuster, LOL)
ReplyDeleteGood place to get ideas though!
No, I am not thinking Halloween.
BUT the Tablescaper and I did hit the Dollar Tree and picked up a few things for Fall tables!
What's wrong with me, Dawn? I can't seem to get motivated...I mean to make things. I want immediate gratification with working for it. :)
ReplyDeleteYou liked the cupcakes? I thought you might.
Hugs..
Oh...it's been quiet. Not totally but managable. They are still here...just be so obnoxious. They still show up now and then...
Have you ever caught on in mid flight? What do you suppose they are all about.
Did I tell you my son in law does film editing and knows people studying the orbs. Says that have connected "sound" to them...???
Sorry...but all of it still scares me.
I am never totally comfortable in my bedroom or the guest room. I get in and out of the guest room as soon as possible...and spend very little time in there. Just...an odd feeling.
I can't wait to see your photo's of you Halloween decor!!!
:)
Hugs,
Mona
I love those pumpkins. I'm going to try and make a few.
ReplyDeleteI'm your newest follower. Love your blog.
Hi Joanne! I've been thinking about Halloween - I need to gather together and organize my holiday items, by holiday so that I can find them when I want to use them. Those pumpkins are adorable. I love real pumpkins too. We typically put some in a wheelbarrow in the front yard. Have a great day!

Your catalog finds for inspiration are great I love both ideas and may just have to make some up for myself. Since my limited budget doesn't allow for purchasing them through the catalog.

I love the pumpkins! And think they wouldn't be too hard to make either. Thanks so much for entering our APRON GIVEAWAY! xo Lidy
