It never got really dark while we were there. The sun would set around 11:30pm and stay dusk until the sun came up around 4:00am. The sunsets were very long there.
I lost my new camera on the cruise. We had to go to the Muster Drill, which is when everyone puts on their life jackets and meets up as if there was an emergency on the ship.
After it was over I busy taking off my life jacket and getting Trinity's off her and people were sort of pushing to get out so they could start the fun on the cruise. Anyway, I must have left my camera on a table and someone took it.
I was sad. I had just bought it and had learned how to take photos with it and now it's gone. That was a few hundred dollars that went down the drain. But more then that I had some good photos on there.
I reported it but of course no one turned it in. So now, I need to buy a new camera.
Any advice on a good one? What kind do you have? I'm looking for a good camera with a larger view area and that takes good photos both indoors and out. Close up and far away.
I'll need to get it within the next few weeks as I want to have time to learn how to use it before I go to New York and then the New England/Canada cruise in August.
Thanks for your ideas.
Great photos I love sunrise and sunset photos. I have so many

Thanks for sharing your beautiful sunsets. Sorry to hear about your camera.
ReplyDeleteYOu are a busy woman!! I'm sooo sorry you lost your camera. You'd think that someone would have turned it in. But great photos of the sunset and hope you enjoyed your cruise. I'm not a techie, so I'm not sure what would be the best choice.
ReplyDeleteMay I recommend the Kodak Easyshare Z740 or something similar? It's not TINY but it's not huge, either and I have good results...how sad I would be if someone swiped my camera!

I am so sorry about your camera. I just have a cheapy BUT I went to the Walmart and got a dog tag printed in metal/cost $2.50 and hooked it to the camera (just in case). IF there are any "honest" people in the world they will call you if you loose another. Hind sight is always 20-20...Good luck in finding a replacement...sharon
ReplyDeleteMany people ask what camera I use. It is the Canon Powershot G9. Kim from Daisy Cottage uses it also. I got the idea from her, and have had it close to two years. I'm so sorry someone was despicable enough to take your camera. I can't imagine people being so ugly. Yet I know they are! I love your sunsets.
