The 50's had great style if you ask me. Everyone always had shoes that matched their purse and of course they had to have a hat to pull the whole outfit together.
Look at these beauties from the 1930's. Can't you just picture the lady who wore these? Such poise and glamour.
So, if you have some time on April 25th and 26th and are in the Santa Monica, CA area I hope you will stop by The Vintage Fashion Expo and take a walk down memory lane. Maybe we could meet up and say hi.
For my Northern CA gals, don't feel left out. In fact, The Vintage Fashion Expo is going to be in San Francisco, CA on March 21st and 22nd. So you could even go first!

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed all those beautiful vintage outfits and the great Disneyland posts too. I learnt so many new things about Disneyland. It's only 3 weeks and we will be at Disneyworld. I wonder if the Tom Sawyer Island at Disneyworld is part of Missouri too?
Best Wishes

ReplyDeleteJoanne...I love vintage clothing! Thanks fo sharing the information and beautiful photos! I love the old bathing suits...they look like dresses. I have a friend who is an artist and her yard is filled with crazy things she has created, including manequins dressed in vintage clothing. Sounds crazy but it is the cutest thing. She changes their clothes all the time. Wish I live closer...I'd be there...have fun and I really enjoy your blog..Debbie:)
