I had some time today so I went through my Christmas postcards and pulled out some of the Santa Claus ones to display.
I'm a big Santa fan! Everything about Santa is good. He is kind, happy, friendly and loves to give presents!
This one is at the top of the board. A nice clear message that just says A MERRY CHRISTMAS.
I know some people think it's way to early to start putting out decorations for Christmas. But, I don't think so. Now as I sit on the computer I can look at these happy pictures and smile.
Yes, I know I totally skipped over Thanksgiving. I guess I could have put up some of my Thanksgiving postcards. It's just that I love Christmas time and have been in the Christmas spirit for awhile now. Besides, it's my board and I can decorate it how I want. LOL
I don't decorate for Christmas any more. We just put up a tree and have it in our hearts, honey. It's so much easier that way for us. But I love those little bulletin boards you've done. Really cute......

Oooooooh, I LOVE Christmas though!!!!!!!
Good for you. How clever and heartwarmimg!
ReplyDeleteI don't do a lot of decorating anymore!! I always wait for Thanksgiving go take down my fall decorations and put up Xmas.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's too early for Christmas at all. The day after Halloween I started putting away those decorations to make way for Christmas. If I hadn't gotten distracted with other things during the week, I'd have a tree up and in the process of being decorated now. But then for me, Christmas is such a joyful time of year that I like to draw the holiday out as looooong as possible because it seems to fly by so fast.
ReplyDeleteAnd to answer the question you left at my blog ... no, it most decidedly does not make you a bad person. I think you would only be bad if you had not cast a vote. ;^)
All the best-
Sue
What a cool bulletine board with the white frame. Love the vintage Christmas postcards! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...and I love it! :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a bit early for me..but I think it's fine for you to start decorating!! The cards are really cute and you'll enjoy them for two months this way! I do think it's too early for Christmas music...like they are doing at the mall already!
ReplyDeleteI love these vintage images, as well as your corkboard! I wanted to do something nice for my holiday inspiration board in the craft room, but I gave up and taped some things to the wall!
ReplyDeleteYou should link into the Holiday Show & Share!

Vintage postcards are the best and I LOVE yours! I always look for Christmas ones but can never seem to find any..I see you have them all..lol! I think you should put up whatever you want when you want..it's your house! Do what makes you happy! I am struggling to not break out the Christmas stuff myself. The minute everybody finishes their turkey dinner though..they are all helping me bring in the Christmas decorations! :-)
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne!
ReplyDeleteI love Santa Claus too! Your vintage post cards are great.
I gave away your beautifuk "Lovely Lady" award tonight! Thanks again for thinking about me!
HUgs, Pat
It's only 50 days away! And you are right, it is your board and you can do it when you want! We are listening to Christmas music now and it is so beautiful. Do what you want, life is too short, go for it!
ReplyDeleteIt's not too early at all!!! I wanted to put my Christmas dishes in my china cabinet this past weekend but didn't get to it. That's the goal for this coming weekend. The rest of my Christmas things I will put up Thanksgiving weekend. I have a gazillion Christmas decorations so I have to spread it out or it would totally wear me out!! Your bulletin board looks great and I LOVE those vintage postcards. I collect Santa's also!!!
ReplyDeleteI usually wait until the weekend after Thanksgiving...but I love your vintage cards!
ReplyDeleteI am having a mosaic Christmas giveaway right now! Come enter...
Hi Joanne,
ReplyDeleteI would like to start to decorate now...however the day after Thanksgiving is when I start. You have some great Santa postcards and thanks for sharing them. Like you said, "it's your bulletin board and you can do what you want". You go Girl:)
Warmly,
Deb
You have the neatest collections, Joanne! Your "Department Store Santa" photos and now these vintage cards... We usually wait until haver my daughter's b-day (November 30th) to start decorating for the holidays. I've achieved minimalism with my Halloween decor, but it will never happen with Christmas! ha ha... Donna
ReplyDeleteWell that was supposed to be "after", not "haver"!! ...Donna
ReplyDeleteWell...first of all...
ReplyDeleteNO it's not too early! I LOVE Christmas. I even skipped Halloween and Thanksgiving decor to save up for new Christmas stuff. So woot!
Joanne, I've tagged you for a game of Photo Tag, if you have time!! If not, don't worry :)...Donna
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne,
ReplyDeleteFor me it is a bit early to start decorating, but your bulletin board with vintage Santa cards looks great and it is a nice way to get started.
Ciao,
Helena
Do exactly as you like! If you're ready for Christmas, go for it! I collect vintage postcards too and the Christmas ones are always so sweet.
ReplyDeleteLooks great and what a wonderful way to display your collection.
ReplyDeleteI haven't started decorating for Christmas yet. I leave my Fall decor up until Thanksgiving day and then it comes down that night and all the Christmas decor goes up the day after Christmas. We wait until the 2nd week of December to put up our tree though.
I love the vintage post cards...and decorating for Christmas is a personal thing...decorate when and where and how YOU want!!!
ReplyDelete~Blessings,
Jan
Sadly I don't decorated until about 2 weeks before.
ReplyDeleteI love the look of Christmas, but don't always like to put things out. I might try harder this year.
