WHO SAYS AUTUMN CAN'T BE PINK?

Yes, Autumn is just around the corner. In fact, several of you are already starting to decorate.

When we think of Fall we think of colors in red, gold, orange and browns.

But I say, why not pink! Yes, you heard me. PINK! I know you are thinking there is no way you can have a pink Autumn. I disagree. I think if you love pink. I mean really LOVE pink, then you can use pink for all the seasons.

OK, I'll prove it to you.

Look at this table. Isn't it pretty! You could even use this on your mantel or coffee table.

Yes, they make pink Fall decorations. Look at this glass pumpkin in pink.

Or, if you are crafty then you can make your decorations. Like these glittery pumpkins. How easy would these be to make.

For you painters, how about a beautiful rose painted pumpkin like this one.

Did you know that pumpkins even come in pink? Well they do.

But if you can't find them you can get out your handy dandy spray paint and turn them from orange to pink in no time.

But really. Look at the pretty pink pumpkins that come from Mother Nature.

I often think of dried Indian corn when I think of Autumn. But again, Indian corn comes in pink. So why not get pink corn rather then the yellow, red or orange corn?

Yes! Mother Nature gives us pink corn. Can you believe it?

The flowers most people think about when they think of Fall is mums.

But mums come in pink too.

In fact, I think the pink mums are the most beautiful mums. Don't you?

Just the site of candy corn makes me think of Fall. So if Fall reminds you of candy corn too, how about pink candy corn?

Berries are another Fall item used to decorate with. Pink berries can be found. Just use them in place of the other berries.

Fruit and nuts coming out of a cornucopia is a beautiful Fall display.

So pretty pink pomegranates would be a great choice.

So would these pink pistachio nuts.

How about making your Autumn cookies pink too.

Of course leaves are one of the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Fall.

There are many trees that have pink leaves. Use them.

Wouldn't these pink leaves be beautiful to decorate with?

So have I convinced you to decorate this Fall in pink? I hope so.

I'm going to give it a shot. I want to make the pink glittery pumpkins. I think I'll look for some pretty pink pumpkin decorations too.

Don't ever let anyone tell you that you have to follow the color rules for holidays. If we girls stick together, we can make every holiday turn PINK!

Come back tomorrow and I'll show you how to have a Pink Halloween.

Hugs,
Joanne

  4. Sorry Joanne ... you haven't convinced me. Pink Christmas? Yeah, that I can see, but pink Fall/Halloween, not for me. Black. Orange. Burnt Sienna. Yellow Ochre. Those are the only Fall colors for me. Pink is around too much of the time for me to give those more somber colors up. Liked your pictures though, they were gorgeous!
