I want to be more like them. Finding the beauty in every day objects. How about you?
Let's go see what I'm talking about.
So what do you see in this picture? Do you look at this picture and say to yourself "Looks like a pile of old rocks to me"? Or do you say "Wow! Look at that. A little gift from Heaven. God's way of saying he loves me!"
Now if you are like me, you would think the 2nd reaction was strange. Until you take another look and you see this:
Now what do you see? Do you still see just rocks or do you see hearts? Yes, I promise, these are the same rocks in the picuture above. I think I get it now. It's all how you look at things!
Have a great day and enjoy all the beauty life has to offer.
Hugs,
Joanne
Thanks for sharing that....I am one of those that has to work at seeing things in such a positive light. My daughter helps me tremendously in that respect cause everything is beautiful and wonderful to my 9 year old. I am always working on that glass half full thing........
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne,
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw the first picture, I marveled at the doily...then thought of the little rock garden my husband and I have, that is filled with pretty little flowers and rocks from our "special" vacation/honeymoon location in Door County, WI!! A GREAT MEMORY!!
This morning, one of my friends was posting on the Come To Jesus post and while there was a Title to the post, there was NO body to the post. I thought, WOW!!! A perfect way to get the point across that we need our QUIET TIME with the Lord every day! (Later, she filled the body of her post and never mentioned it!)
~Blessings,
Jan

So very sweet! Isn't it amazing all the beauty God surrounds us with, and sometimes we just have to remember to LOOK.

Joanne:
ReplyDeleteYou are my daily dose of happiness. I just love your blog and seeing God's beauty through your eyes.
Love ya & look forward to our "bargain shopping spree" next month....

I found your blog through the Christmas in July page at a Lovely Thing. I am planning a giveaway also, I just need to take my pictures.
ReplyDeleteI really love this post about the rocks. When I saw the first picture, I noticed the beautiful embroidered hankie that they were sitting on and thought you were going for a soft vs. rough texture photo. I love that they are all heart shaped by nature; have you been collecting them for a long time?
Hi Joanne, I will gather the recipes and all the information about making seedless jelly. It's not hard, it just takes one or two more steps. We make freezer jam out of the raspberries and strawberries. It tastes fresher and again, it's easy! :) Do you have a freezer?
ReplyDeleteThe rocks are great!! I see the hearts!!
Beautiful pictures Joanne! Lovely reminder to look at God's handiwork!

Hi Joanne,
ReplyDeleteI'm planning on going to Debra's Cottage on Saturday. I have a mermaid to pick up and they're having a special sale. I want to go when they open at 10:00.
I love you heart post. I had a heart rock I found at the beach and I carried it around for a long time. I finally lost it somewhere on the playground while I was watching my students. I used to teach. I always hoped someone would find it and feel like God gave it to them just like I did. Every time I am where there are rocks I too lock for a heart.
Beautiful Way of looking @ Life...
ReplyDeleteHi Joanne!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a perfect post! And absolutely 100% true!! Life is how you look at things! I keep telling my brother that. One of these days it may sink in. I am glad to be alive everyday I wake up! And every trial has a blessing at the end of it and a lesson in the midst of it that we need to learn. Thanks! I know you view things like I do Joanne. You are such a great friend girl!!
big hugs! Sherry
