So once home I got out the spray paint and just like magic he was white. I put him in a pot of flowers near my pool in the back yard. I think he looks sweet there. Almost as if he is watching everyone when they swim in the pool.
I also found this little bird and picture frames at the thrift store.
Again I took the can of spray paint to all of them. I like them much better. One the plain frame I'm going to put vintage buttons on it. I saw one I loved that Cindy at Romantic Home made and I knew I wanted to make one.
I couldn't find my glue gun so I may have to buy a new one. I have all the buttons ready to go though.
Hugs to everyone,
Joanne

Joanne - what a STEAL that cherub statue was! I love him in white.. he really stands out in that blue lobelia!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the mirror and the little bird, too! (I have a thing for little white birds!)... I can't wait to see your button picture frame when it's done...Donna
Lovely finds and what a difference a few coats of fresh white paint makes, beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe that little guy was only $5.00...what a great deal. It looks great white!
ReplyDeleteI have that exact little statue, and a bird (several actually) like that! The bird has already met the white spray paint, but maybe I'll paint the little statue guy and put him outside! That's really cute.

ReplyDeletei'm happy to read that your brother is doing better! I hope all continues ro fo well for him
Hugs, Pat
Hi Joanne, The can of white spray paint has gotten me thinking!! I like the simplicity of white. You have made such a lovely planting with the little boy statue! I would have bought that bird!! Very cute! Keep creating and sharing!!
ReplyDeleteBJ,
ReplyDeleteI love all of your thrift shop finds. I wish the thrift shops around here had more variety. It seems they always have the same stuff.
I want to get out garage saleing next weekend. I can usually find some bargains early in the year.
Blessings,
Mary

Life with out changes is boring,
ReplyDeleteWe can change our hair color, skin tone color, nail color, eye color,
so why shouldn't change the color of our goodies.
Love ya and like me keep antiquing!
